Candy Lightning Blue
Over the years I've had countless people comment on how nice the paint is on my ZZR. in particular the blue. If, like me, you are lucky enough to own a Blue/Silver ZZR you will know what I'm talking about. However... If, like me, you have given the fairing a little scrape you will also know how expensive they new ones are. You'll also know how hard it is to find someone who can re-spray and match the blue.
Well, there is a good reason for this. Kawasaki wanted a nice finish to the ZZR in 2001 so they used a multi-coat paint for that deep metallic blue effect.
The end result is an awesome, and hideously expensive, colour called 'Candy Lightning Blue'. Technically it is a Tri-Coat. This simply means there are three layers of paint to complete the final look. The Base colour is a metallic silver, then the clear blue and finally a clear top coat.
Candy Lightning Blue can be purchased from ColorRite (The official supplier to Kawasaki): www.colorrite.com

No filters or Photoshop effects have been used here. Just a good polish, wax and awesome paint. looks better when you see it for yourself |
